8 amazing holiday bargains we're booking this week

If you’re looking for a bargain break, here’s what we’re booking.

We’re just days away from launching our brand-new travel website, loveEXPLORING, so here’s a teaser of some of our favourite travel deals from this week.

For an island escape: 40% off 7 nights in Corfu (with flights)

If you need a little R&R, book this: for £400 per person, Sunvil are offering a seven-night break on the Greek island of Corfu, departing 5 June with flights from London Gatwick.

The trip includes self-catering, sea-view apartments in Kalami Bay, on the eastern side of the island overlooking Albania, which are just a five-minute walk from the beach and village. It’s the perfect location for a beach break, with the option to hire a boat to explore the island, or head over to the little-visited coast of Albania for a day trip. Seek out the Roman ruins of Butrint, an astonishingly well-preserved ancient city.

For a last-minute staycation: 20% off stays in the Forest of Dean (includes meals)

Book & stay by 31st of May to make the most of this excellent deal at the Tudor Farmhouse hotel in the Forest of Dean. From £490 – based on two people sharing – you’ll get three nights’ accommodation at this gorgeous countryside boutique hotel.

The price includes two three-course dinners, a cooked breakfast every day, one packed lunch and a local walking guidebook. Nearby, the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley offer superb scenery; make a beeline for Puzzlewood, a fairytale-esque woodland area where gnarly roots are covered in green moss and you can explore via a labyrinth of mini bridges and staircases.

For a hot holiday: approx. £400pp Dubai break (with flights)

Jet off to the city of superlatives from around £400 per person. Lastminute.com are offering a three-night stay at the 5-star Dusit Thani Dubai with return flights from London Gatwick, departing 12 June.

Dubai is seriously hot at this time of year, but cooling off in one of the many mega malls, or on the observation deck of the world’s tallest building, is all part of the fun.

Flights to the USA just keep getting cheaper. WOW Air are launching a brand-new route to Pittsburgh in June with prices from just £140 one-way. This means you can get Stateside for under £300 if you manage to bag the lowest fares.

Pittsburgh has a world-class art scene – it was the birthplace of Andy Warhol, after all – and makes for an excellent family holiday, with its science centre, zoo and National Aviary.
