Looking for 50% off kitchenware, 20% off new-season womenswear, a flight for £1 or a free night in a B&B? Look no further!
As September advances, hats and scarves are being retrieved from the back of wardrobes and -- as far as the weather is concerned -- the gloves are off!
Rain, clouds and slowly tumbling temperatures mean summer really is over. But amazingly, this weekend's Money Saving Tips features a host of discounts and deals as good as any you might have encountered during last season's sales.
Homewares
First up this week, there are two opportunities for homewares hunters to save money.
Tesco Direct is offering a selection of half-price kitchen appliances in its sale. Highlights include this Moulinex iron, now £15, this posh chrome Russell Hobbs kettle, now £20 and this Ferretti espresso machine, reduced to £24.97.
Meanwhile, at Amazon, fans of French cookware can pick up this Le Creuset round casserole dish for £31 -- 50% less than the RRP. It's also available in Volcanic (orange) and Almond (cream).
Film, books and music
As always, there's also a selection of great offers on film this week. My top pick for youngsters is this complete Stuart Little box set, £5 from Tesco Jersey. It contains three movies featuring the cute critter, and is currently available at 80% less than the RRP.
For grown-ups, the apocalyptic Children Of Men is available from SelectCheaper.com for the low price of £3.98 -- £16 less than the RRP.
On a lighter note, this Back To The Future box set, featuring all three of Marty McFly's adventures, is reduced by 65% at Woolworths. It's now £7.
And bookworms after a literary read might be tempted to visit Waterstones.com this weekend. There's 30% off the Oxford World's Classics series, so quality editions of novels such as Jane Eyre, Great Expectations, Frankenstein and Pride And Prejudice are all on offer for less than £5.
Meanwhile, anyone looking to get hold of this year's Mercury Prize-winning album, Elbow's The Seldom Seen Kid, should log on to HMV.com, where's it's available at £6.99. That's the cheapest price I've found online.
Those interested in checking out the band's back catalogue can get hold of their first two albums, Asleep in the Back and Cast of Thousands for a bargainous £2.99 each from Play.com. The cheapest online stockist of third CD Leaders of the Free World is Cd-Wow.com, where the album is £5.99.
Fashion, accessories and beauty
As if in desperation to kick-start consumer spending, several stores are offering great discounts on clothes and accessories this weekend.
At House of Fraser, shoppers will get 25% off selected items until 14 September. Online shoppers can save even more by using this discount code: quote AUTUMNTREAT08 at the checkout to claim an extra £10 off a minimum spend of £50.
Meanwhile, Dorothy Perkins is offering 20% off everything as part of its VIP week, which runs from 14 - 21 September. Online shoppers should buy via this special link to claim their money off, while those buying in store should print this voucher and take it along to their nearest branch.
Finally, Asos.com (in my opinion one of the best online clothes shops) has opened a new department this week -- which should excite all budget-conscious fashionistas. Red features an array of cut-price designer goods, all with up to 70% off. Hurrah!
When it comes to special offers on beauty products, Boots is a big player again this week. Right now, it's hosting its biggest ever beauty event, with 3 for 2 deals on hundreds of make-up, skincare and haircare products -- and if you spend £40 or more online, you'll get 500 extra Advantage Card points and benefit from free delivery.
Even better, Boots' re-designed website now offers tons of free tips on making the most of the products you buy. Check out articles such as Get Skincare Savvy and Small Change, Big Difference for advice from the experts.
However, if it's professional pampering you're interested in, The Sanctuary Spa could soon be right up your street.
Four of its special `treatment pods' will be journeying across the UK this month, and 15 minute complimentary treatments are available at locations as diverse as Bristol and Glasgow. You can book one in advance by following the instructions on the website.
Home and away
If you're already mourning the passing of your summer holiday, chin up: it could be cheaper than you think to book a winter break.
Alastair Sawday's is offering a 2 for 1 deal on overnight stays at 300 B&Bs across the country, in conjunction with Tropicana. Simply collect the caps from three cartons of juice, and send them off (with your original receipts) to receive your voucher.
And if you've got your sights set on a trip abroad, Ryanair's latest offer might tempt you. 3 million seats on flights to a variety of European destinations in September and October are currently available for just £1!
But if you're staying at home, there's still a great opportunity for you to indulge this weekend. M&S is once again running its `two dine in for £10' offer. The offer runs until 14 September, and this week's menu -- featuring some delicious-looking goodies -- can be viewed here.
Offers which continue to be valid:
Wii fans will find a selection of special offers at Play.com right now -- there's a range of games available for £9.99. Titles include The Golden Compass and CSI: Hard Evidence.
Elsewhere, SendIt.com is offering 75% off a selection of films, games and albums in its end of season sale. Series 2 of Life On Mars is available for £11.49 -- that's £28.50 less than the RRP.
Finally, Play.com is currently running an `Everything for £5' sale where, you guessed it, everything costs £5!
Voucher code heaven can be found at myvouchercodes.co.uk, a website which lists a range of discount codes and printable vouchers to help you save on your everyday shopping. You may also want to check out codes.co.uk and hotukdeals.com.
And Amazon fans looking for a bargain should take note of Price Cut Review, a nifty website that lists all current Amazon products selling at half price or less.
