You can bank from the comfort of your vehicle at this new Metro Bank site.
Metro Bank has announced that it’s going to open a drive-thru (their spelling) branch (or store, as it prefers to call them) in Slough next month.
The relatively young bank has already pioneered initiatives such as evening and weekend opening and dog-friendly branches.
Now it’s offering customers the chance to turn off the A335 and withdraw cash, pay in cheques and speak to a cashier (during opening hours) without leaving their vehicles.
As you can see from the photo above, the left lane has an ATM and transaction machine while the right has a counter.
[SPOTLIGHT]Craig Donaldson, Chief Executive Officer at Metro Bank, said: “Offering cashier services to customers from the comfort of their cars will bring a whole new level of convenience to customers, many of whom will drive past the store on Farnham Road regularly. Our job is to make banking easy for everyone and we’re confident that with the drive thru lanes, combined with the great in-store customer focused services that we offer, we will achieve it.”
Drive-thru banking has been trialled before in the UK but has never proved sufficiently popular. If the Slough drive-thru is successful, Metro Bank says it plans to open other sites in the future.
The Slough store is due to open on 3rd May.
