DVDs
As always, there are some great bargains on DVDs this week, if you know where to look.
First up, Amazon. The online retail giant is offering some big sci-fi & fantasy bargains this week: it has reduced Lost: The Complete First Season from £53.99 to £12.97 and Harry Potter: Years 1-5 from £40.99 to £24.98. It has also slashed the price of Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Complete DVD Collection from £125.99 to £65.99 - a saving of £60 on the recommended retail price (RRP).
If comedy is more your thing, The Office: Complete Series 1,2 and Christmas Specials is going for £13.99 at HMV (a saving of £11 on the RRP), while the complete collection of The League Of Gentlemen has been reduced by 35% at Zavvi, to just £13.99.
Meanwhile, Friends: The Complete Box Set is reduced from £159.99 to £59.99 at Play.com, which is also offering the complete Laurel And Hardy Box Set - all 21 discs - for just £44.99. That's a saving of £155 on the RRP.
If you like rifles, bayonets and Sean Bean in uniform, then you'll like this bargain from Zavvi: The Collector's Edition of Sharpe has been reduced by 72% to just £27.99. On the other hand, if it's fashion, romance and Sarah Jessica Parker you want, then check out this amazing deal (also from Zavvi): the entire 6-Season Collection of Sex & The City for just £49.99. That's £50 off!
Rom com fans can also now pre-order the `feel-good film of the year', Mamma Mia, at Woolworths for just £9.90 - that's a 55% reduction on the RRP. And there's also a treat for Steven Seagal fans this week: the Legacy box-set of eight Steven Seagal movies is a bargainous £14.99 from HMV - saving you £45.
It's also worth checking out the special offers on DVDs at HMV this week: hit films like Jerry Maguire and Transformers can be snapped up for as little as £2.99.
Games, music and cameras
If you're burning to play brand new Xbox 360 game Gears Of War 2, you'll find it cheapest in-store at Morrisons, where it's retailing for £29.99. If you can't afford that, but still fancy some playful war-mongering, you're in luck: Asda has reduced Conquer 3 (Tiberium Wars) by 66% to just £9.91.
The classic board game, Scrabble, has also been reduced at Amazon by 59% to £7.97 - just in time for Christmas.
Meanwhile, music bargain of the week goes to Argos, which has cut the price of the iPod Touch 8GB by 35% to £128.97. That's a saving of £70.
Fans with superior musical taste may also be glad to note that Prince's Ultimate 2-CD collection has been reduced at Woolworths from £10.29 to a fiver.
If you're in the market for a new snapper, this once-expensive Fujifilm Finepix digital camera is reduced from £309.65 to £134.99 on Amazon.
And if that's still out of your budget, you can get this Kodak digital camera half-price at just £89.99 from Currys.
Fashion and beauty
There are lots of sales on this week, including:
- 25% off Gap until 11th November - just enter Extra25 at checkout.
- 20% off Jaeger on `must-have items for the party season', both in-store at Selfridges and online at Jaeger.
- Up to 70% off dresses at Debenhams including this prom dress - reduced from £90 to £25, and perfect for a Christmas party.
- Up to 75% off shoes at Office - for example, this sexy pink pair is reduced from £60 to £10. (If you combine it with the Debenhams dress, that's a brand new outfit sorted for £35 - a total saving of £120).
- 20% off Radley bags at John Lewis. I do love those little dogs..
There's also some fantastic price cuts on cashmere tops and dresses at Oasis and trainers at Schuh.
Meanwhile, Boots has cut the price of this massive Ruby & Millie make-up kit by 50% - it's now only £25 - and Argos has reduced this Remington Shine Therapy Straightener from £69.99 to £34.99. You can also pick up a heat resistant storage mat to put them on from Amazon for £2.80.

Finally, for those who grew up in the 1980s, Play.com has cut the price of this Care Bears Pink Hoodie from £34.99 to £17.99.
Children
There are some fantastic deals on children's books, toys, clothes and entertainment this week.
Lovers of Lemony Snicket can now get the entire Series of Unfortunate Events - all 13 books - for just £19.99 from The Book People (a saving of £70.88). You can also now pre-order a hardback copy of The Tales Of Beedle The Bard by J.K. Rowling for £3.49 - a 50% reduction - from Amazon.
Meanwhile, Sainsbury's is having a children's sale, offering half-price on all toys and 3 for 2 deals on children's books, and Marks & Spencer is offering up to 50% off kidswear. Asda is also holding a 10% sale on all bikes.
And, as we mentioned last week, many Disney DVDs at HMV.com are reduced by up to 75%.
Homewares
There have been some impressive reductions this week in Homewares, particularly from Amazon.
For example, this super-soft fleece throw has been reduced from £19.95 to £9.92. Perfect for curling up on the sofa on a cold night.
Amazon has cut the price of this George Foreman Grill by 50% to £34.99, and cut £50 off the price of this retro Kenwood mixer - now only £99.99.
It has also slashed the price of this WMF Seattle stainless steel cutlery set from £320 to £69.95. That's a saving of £250.
TJ Hughes is offering an even bigger saving, however, on its Silentnight Miratex Memory Foam Mattresses - just £249.99 for a King. That's a reduction of £360.
If you need a new toaster, Empire Direct has reduced this 4-slice chrome and black toaster from £34.99 to £16.99.
There's also lots of 3 for 2 offers on at Laura Ashley and at Marks & Spencer which are worth checking out, especially if you want some new candles or lights.
Food
Finally, M&S Food is holding its Dine In For £10 offer again this weekend, so you can get a main course, a side dish, a dessert and a bottle of wine for just £10.
As if you needed any more excuse to stay in this weekend and watch one of those cheap DVDs.
