Current Discounts and Deals #34

How to get free beauty products, half-price digital cameras, cheap books... and much, much more!

With brighter nights upon us and improvements in the weather (supposedly) imminent, this edition of Money Saving Tips hopefully finds you in a cheerful mood. That said, with milder temperatures and sunnier days ahead, many of us are probably perturbed by the thought of exposing our arms and legs to the world. If your skin needs a little TLC after spending the winter smothered in trousers, tights and jumpers, check out the new Beauty Boutique at Boots. Home to a wide range of luxury products, it's enough to excite even veteran product junkies - and the best thing is that if you spend £50 in a single online transaction up until 15 April, you'll get a bonus of 1000 Advantage points (£10 worth). Should you need something a little less pricey to pamper yourself with, Boots are also running a great 3 for 2 skincare campaign in store. Buy two products from a choice of over 1000, and get a third free. Superdrug is also offering a third off all Nivea products between now and 15 April. Once your body's looking beautiful, you can still find new clothes to dress it in at bargain prices. Sales at many high street stores such as Office and Urban Outfitters continue, with many items half price. Debenhams has also started its Blue Cross sale, where you can find clothing, homewares, gifts and accessories discounted by up to 70%. And if you feel the need to photograph yourself looking fabulous after all that effort, you can pick up a Samsung P800 Black digital camera for half price at Curry's. Now £99.99, it has 8 million pixel resolution, a 2.5" screen and a face detection function. If you fancy going out for dinner one night next week, you can get 2 for 1 on main meals at Pizza Express with the Sunday Times. Just buy the paper this Sunday, cut out and fill in the voucher - then pop along to your local restaurant. The offer is limited to one voucher per table, and can only be used between Mondays and Thursdays until 27 April. Foodies might also be interested in Amazon's discounts on Le Creuset's Satin Blue range. There's 40% off their classic casserole dishes, as well as discounts on fondue sets and frying pans. If you want a laugh this week, you can get Season 2 of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's hilarious Extras for just £3.80 (delivered) from Play.com - saving a massive £18 on the RRP! But if your nearest and dearest should be revising for upcoming A-level or GCSE exams, keep them away from the TV with discounted revision and study guides. Waterstones are offering 30% off York Notes and smaller discounts on a range of their study guides. Adults looking to learn something new also benefit from 40% off Teach Yourself guides this week - so there's no excuse not to set a good example! Offers which continue to be valid: Are your kids on a late Easter break this year? Well, thanks to Sky, you can get 2 for 1 entry to a range of top attractions until 31 May. These include Alton Towers, Thorpe Park, Madame Tussauds and Warwick Castle. You can print off as many vouchers as you like, and Sky customers can also receive a 50% discount at Alton Towers Resort Hotels. Book by phone on 0871 222 9847 and quote promotion code: SKY. Fancy some good nosh at a bargain price? Old Orleans is offering two courses on its lunch menu for just £6.25. So whether it's Sweet Chilli Chicken or a good old Beef Burger which tickles your fancy, tuck in for under a tenner. The offer is available Monday to Saturday, 12pm - 5pm. If you're a pizza-lover, you can still get 20% off Domino's Pizza orders over £20 when you pay with your Barclaycard. Quote code BCZ8LJJJ when you're ordering. And don't forget, the Royal Mail is putting up the price of stamps from Monday 7 April!  The price of a first class stamp is going up from 34p to 36p, and a second class stamp from 24p to 27p. So if you send letters regularly then it may be worth stocking up.
