Current Discounts And Deals #41
Get discounts on everything from sun loungers to chardonnay and books to Ben and Jerry's this latest, sun-soaked edition of Money Saving Tips.
Finally, after a miraculously sunny Bank Holiday Monday, it seems that we're in for some truly delightful weather.
So with the forecast bright for the rest of the week, I thought I'd bring you some summery Money Saving Tips that will help you enjoy the sunshine in style -- without breaking the bank!
Relax In The Rays
First up, if you're looking to invest in some garden furniture, why not pop down to Homebase this week? There's a selection of offers on both indoor and outdoor goods, but my favourite is this Seville patio set, £99. Reduced by £15, it also comes with two free sun loungers -- perfect for quiet, lazy days!
Netto also have some great offers on garden goods this week, with everything from barbeques to garden lamps available at bargain prices.
But if you're planning to try and acquire a tan this week, don't forget to slather yourself in some sun protection cream. At the moment, Boots has a buy one, get one free offer on a selection of its sun care products - making it cheap and easy for you to avoid the burn!
Also, for some ladies this week will mark the 2008 premiere of their pins -- eek! If (like me) you haven't bared your legs since last autumn, take a look at Boots' additional offers on epilators, self-tanning products and foot care. After lending your limbs a little TLC, you'll soon be ready to ditch those tights.
Smart Shopping For Summer
If you fancy doing a spot of reading while you soak some rays, check out Waterstones' offers on their 'Life Changing Books'. This selection of 100 modern and traditional classics, selected by Waterstones Cardholders, has 30% off both in store and online.
What's the perfect partner for great literature on warm afternoon? Delicious ice cream of course! Actually, scoffing a few scoops of Ben and Jerry's is always rather nice -- but with tubs reduced to £2 at Asda (both online and in store), it'll taste even sweeter this week!
You'll also find great offers on wine this week at Asda, with selected bottles participating in a 3 for £10 deal.
And should you feel the need for a new pair of summer shoes, Amazon is offering discounts of up to 50% on Fly London footwear in a wide variety of styles and sizes. Elsewhere, Office has discounted a selection of its sandals, shoes and boots by up to 50%.
Finally, here's an offer for those of us who aren't so thrilled at the arrival of summer. If warm weather's likely to land you in hayfever hell, why not check out this allergy reliever from Lloyds pharmacy?
Using light therapy, it helps to reduce symptoms such as watery eyes, a runny nose and sneezing. At the moment, it's reduced by more than half, from £29.99 to a far friendlier £13.49.
Hayfever medication Cetirizine is also now available at Chemist4u.com at the bargain price of 99p for 30 tablets - as long as you order six packs together.
(Another offer that's not to be sneezed at!)
Enjoy the sun... while it lasts...
