Current Discounts And Deals #43
Check out our latest discounts and deals for special offers on outdoor kit, toys, clothes, DVDs and loads more.
The weather may have taken a turn for the worse this week - but hope springs eternal! There are plenty of great deals on outdoor kit, so we can all prepare for when the sun does decide to reappear.
First off, Aldi has lots of special offers on all things summery. These include hanging baskets for £3.99, men's leather sandals for £8.99 and hayfever relief tablets at 89p a pack.
Hot on Aldi's heels is Lidl, with its own range of ultra-affordable summer clobber. Current deals include (from Monday 19th) a bikini set for £4.99, a two-person tent at £12.99, and a portable barbeque for £4.99.
If you're planning a picnic this weekend, have a look in Somerfield. Special offers here currently include buy one, get one free deals on packs of coke and diet coke, Walkers Sensations crisps, Robinsons Fruit Shoot drinks, Schweppes Lemonade and Fox's Rocky Bars. Enough to keep your little terrors occupied for at least a couple of minutes!
And there's good news for fans of Marks & Spencer's food range. The retailer has finally decided to discount items which are nearing their sell-by dates.
So it's worth checking your local store at the end of the day -- I've picked up some real bargains in the last week.
There are some internet-only sales which are also worth checking out. The huge stock clearance at Amazon has turned up some real gems, including 75% off DVDs, 50% off shoes and accessories, and up to 75% off lots of toys and games.
And if it's the kids you're thinking of, thehalf-price toy saleat Tesco Direct is also a good place to look.
Are you sick of paying to call directory enquiries? Well, you don't have to. If you dial 0800 100 100 from a land line, you can ask for the number you need and it won't cost you a penny.
The only downside is, you'll have to listen to a 20-second advert at the same time -- and (as always!) it's not free if you call from a mobile.
Finally, for all the bookworms out there: Blackwell's is currently offering 20% off all their top 50 favourite books. Perfect for relaxing holiday reading, or just snuggling up on the sofa at home.
Offers which continue to be valid:
Kids looking for fun in the sun might enjoy this outdoor activity centre from Argos. With five possible games to play, it should keep them entertained for hours - and best of all, it's now reduced to £14.99, so you save £5.
