The weekend seems a very long way away - so to lift your spirits, let's kick off with some stuff that's totally free.
If you and your family are green-fingered, why not get a free packet of flower seeds from The Children's Society to brighten up a window box or garden.
On a slightly larger scale, you can also get free tree packs for your local school, nursery or youth group from The Woodland Trust.
You can choose from a 30-sapling copse pack (with birch, rowan and cherry) or a 30-shrub hedge pack (packed with hawthorn, hazel, holly, dog rose and dogwood).
If you want to get away from it all, Ryanair is currently offering free flights in June (and that means no taxes, no fees and no charges, apparently) to a range of destinations. There are also plenty of flights for £5 or £10.
You have to book before midnight on Thursday (May 22nd)- and as usual, make sure you read all the terms and conditions.
If you're looking for sports stuff, you might want to check out Kitbag.com. It's slashed the price of many of its football shirts, boots and other kit by over 50%.
And finally, Boots is now selling a big range of toys online for up to 75% off - perfect for keeping the kids occupied during that long half-term holiday!
Offers which continue to be valid:Aldi currently has lots of special offers on all things summery. These include hanging baskets for £3.99, men's leather sandals for £8.99 and hayfever relief tablets at 89p a pack.
Hot on Aldi's heels is Lidl, with its own range of ultra-affordable summer clobber. Current deals include a bikini set for £4.99, a two-person tent at £12.99, and a portable barbeque for £4.99.
If you're planning a picnic this weekend, have a look in Somerfield. Special offers here currently include buy-one-get-one-free deals on packs of coke and diet coke, Walkers Sensations crisps, Robinsons Fruit Shoot drinks, Schweppes Lemonade and Fox's Rocky Bars. Enough to keep your little terrors occupied for at least a couple of minutes!
And there's good news for fans of Marks & Spencer's food range. The retailer has finally decided to discount items which are nearing their sell-by dates.
So it's worth checking your local store at the end of the day - I've picked up some real bargains in the last week.
There are some internet-only sales which are also worth checking out. The huge stock clearance at Amazon has turned up some real gems, including 75% off DVDs, 50% off shoes and accessories, and up to 75% off lots of toys and games.
And if it's the kids you're thinking of, the half-price toy sale at Tesco Direct is also a good place to look.
For all the bookworms out there: Blackwell's is currently offering 20% off all their top 50 favourite books.
And why not check out Waterstones as well for offers on their 'Life Changing Books'. This selection of 100 modern and traditional classics, selected by Waterstones Cardholders, has 30% off both in store and online.
If you're planning to try and acquire a tan, don't forget to slather yourself in some sun protection cream. At the moment, Boots has a buy one, get one free offer on a selection of its sun care products - making it cheap and easy for you to avoid the burn!
If it's children's garments you're after, why not check out Adams? At the moment, you can get 3-for-2 on t-shirts and shorts - ideal if you need to stock up for summer holidays.
If warm weather's likely to land you in hayfever hell, why not check out this allergy reliever from Lloyds pharmacy? Using light therapy, it helps to reduce symptoms such as watery eyes, a runny nose and sneezing. At the moment, it's reduced by more than half, from £29.99 to a far friendlier £13.49.
And hayfever medication Cetirizine is also now available at Chemist4u.com at the bargain price of 99p for 30 tablets - as long as you order six packs together.
