Current Discounts And Deals #48

Tempted to buy a few treats this weekend? Save money on those little indulgences... Without stepping foot outside your door!

Credit crunch or no credit crunch, there are few of us who can resist the odd indulgence now and then. Luckily, there are plenty of bargains to be had at the moment -- so, this weekend, you can get hold of a few little luxuries for less! Look, Listen And Learn! First up, fans of computer games and films can get hold of some real bargains right now. Military simulation game Gears of War is available for the Xbox 360 at £14.99 from PowerplayDirect -- that's a massive £35 less than the RRP. Elsewhere, the Xbox 360 version of the notoriously brutal (and, I am assured by male friends, `brilliant') Grand Theft Auto IV is on offer at £29.99 from SoftUK. Buyers will save £20 off the RRP. If that isn't enough vicarious violence for you, why not check out Play.com's offer on the Rambo movies. All four are available in a special boxed set for just £14.99 -- a saving of £18 off the RRP. The Hut also has a great deal on action movies this week -- five films, including Independence Day, Die Hard and Speed, are available in a special boxed set for a bargainous £8.43. Meanwhile, big kids will love HMV.com's special offers on this Paddington DVD, £2.99, and the Willy Wonka/Charlie & The Chocolate Factory boxed set, £4.99. It contains both films of the classic Roald Dahl novel, so you can decide which version of the chocolate mogul you prefer: Johnny Depp at his creepy best, or the crazy Gene Wilder singing his heart out. If you're on the hunt for a posh new TV this week, Richer Sounds' offer on this 42" HD-ready Hitachi TV might excite you. There are a few still available at £499.95 -- pricey, perhaps, but a massive £400 lower than the original price. Music maniacs might also be eagerly awaiting the release of the new Coldplay album on 12 June. If so, you can pre-order it from 4CheapCDs.com for just £6.99 including delivery. However, remember that it won't be dispatched until the day of release -- so you'll receive your CD a couple of days later. Finally, The Book People is offering a fantastic deal this week on Horrible Histories books. 10 books are just £12.99 -- a great saving of £36.91 off the RRP.   Cheap & Chic Shopping Anyone interested in a make-up bargain this week would do well to get hold of this month's (July) issue of Glamour magazine, £2. There's a full-size Benefit `Her Glossiness' lip colour absolutely free with every copy -- as they normally cost £13, that works out at a saving of £11! And Oasis is running a special promotion this week with Grazia magazine. As part of `Easy Chic Week', shoppers at the Oasis website will get 20% off orders -- just quote the code GRAZIA08 when you get to the checkout. The offer ends on 10 June. Elsewhere, The Shoe Studio is also offering online shoppers a 20% discount until 9 June. Enter the code FF20 to get money off a variety of branded footwear. Home & Away Finally, there are a few great offers this week on homewares -- and opportunities for getting away from it all! Viners is offering some fantastic bargains on cutlery and cookware as part of its clearance sale -- some items have as much as 75% off! Tesco Direct is also offering 50% off selected furniture, including leather sofas, tables and chairs. Anyone looking to organise a mini-break in the near future might want to check out Travelodge's offer of  rooms for just £19. You need to book at least 21 days in advance, and rooms are available for stays from 27 June to 31 August. Holiday Inn is also offering two nights for the price of one on stays at hotels across the country. Book now to avoid disappointment! Last, but definitely not least, Wagamama has come up trumps again with a great two for one deal on main meals. Print off the promotional Men's Health voucher, take it with you to your local restaurant, and enjoy! Offers Which Continue To Be Valid: Barbecue fanatics everywhere should have a look at Tesco Direct, where you can currently get 30% off selected barbecues and patio heaters. But hurry - this deal ends on Sunday 8 June. Perhaps you're planning to get sporty this summer? If so, Sportsshoes.com might be worth a visit. They're currently offering up to 90% off certain sports shoes, clothes and accessories. Or do you fancy a sports-packed summer break? Center Parcs is currently offering late deals in June for just £28 per person. To get the latest offer price, enter code CPWEB into the promotional code box online, or quote CPWEB when you ring the call centre. Here's something a bit different. If you're looking for presents for family and friends (or just treats for yourself), keep an eye on gadgetry and games site Firebox.com this month. It's offering a whopping 50% off a different item every day in June, to celebrate its 10th birthday. Avid computer gamers can also pick up their fair share of discounts this week. Dvd.co.uk is offering a selection of Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, PSP and DS games in promotional 2 for £25 and 2 for £30 deals. There are also some big discounts on holidays and mini-breaks available right now. Thomson has reduced the price of selected accommodation abroad to as little as £2 per room, per night -- but act quickly as the best choices will disappear fast! Voucher code heaven can be found at myvouchercodes.co.uk, a website which lists a range of discount codes and printable vouchers to help you save on your everyday shopping.
