Switching providers
[SPOTLIGHT]Before you sign up for a new deal, it’s a good idea to look at the UK’s best and worst broadband providers to find out how each performs in terms of connection speed, technical support and customer service.
It’s also worth checking if there are any penalties for cancelling your current contract, as they may outweigh any financial benefits of switching to a new provider.
However, if you want to switch because your current supplier has increased their prices mid-way through your contact you can do so penalty-free if you signed up after January 23rd 2014.
To make the switch you’ll need to contact your existing provider for your Migration Authorisation Code (MAC).
Then it’s just a case of passing it on to your new provider. Once your new service is up and running, contact your old provider to cancel their service.
