This is a script of a lovemoney.com video. Instead of reading it, why not watch the video instead? You can find the video here.

I'm Rachel Robson for lovemoney.com and welcome to Frugal Friday, the show where we hunt out the hottest discounts on the high street.

Bargain books

If you're planning to curl up in front of the fire with a good book this weekend, take a look at the Book Depository website. Here you can enjoy up to sixty percent off selected novels.

For example, Dead and Gone by Charlaine Harris is now just over five pounds, a saving of nearly eight pounds.  Or if you'd prefer to get your hands on Sophie Kinsella's latest book, Twenties Girl, this is now three pounds eighty-five, saving you more than four pounds.

Alternatively, if you're more of a foodie, you can pick up a copy of Jamie's Ministry of Food for fourteen ninety-nine - that's ten pounds off.

Games

If you'd prefer to give your thumbs a workout this weekend, make sure you hurry down to the Hut for some great gaming deals.

Here you can pick up The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks for the Nintendo DS for just under twenty-five pounds - a saving of more than fifteen pounds.

On the other hand, if you've got a Nintendo Wii, take a look at HMV where you can pick up Guitar Hero: Metallica for under eighteen pounds, saving you twenty-two pounds.

And for the Xbox 360, Gears of War 2 has four pounds off at under fourteen pounds.

Freebie of the week

If you're a bit of a bookworm and you fancy downloading some free eBooks, the Book Depository comes up trumps once again. That's because it's offering more than eleven thousand eBooks to download for free! Simply choose your title, download the eBook, and you'll be able to read it on your computer for free.

Links to all of today's discounts and deals can be found in our Frugal Friday blog, which you can find by registering on lovemoney.com.

That's it from me today. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend!
