Six further centres announced by Citizens Advice.
Citizens Advice has announced a further six delivery centres for its face-to-face Pension Wise guidance sessions.
The new centres will be based at Southwark, Brent and Waltham Forest (all in London), as well as Chelmsford, Wigan and Kirklees.
The announcement takes the number of delivery centres up to 50, after the first batch were announced back in January.
What is Pension Wise?
When George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced his wide-ranging reforms of pensions in last year’s Budget, he also revealed that everyone will be entitled to free guidance, to help us make a more informed decision about what to do with our pension pots.
In January we had confirmation that this service will be named Pension Wise, with face-to-face sessions handled by Citizens Advice and telephone guidance on offer from The Pensions Advisory Service.
There is also now a Pension Wise website.

Guidance available at more than 500 locations
[SPOTLIGHT]The 50 centres will co-ordinate sessions from their own premises, as well as outreach locations and other bureaux. According to Citizens Advice, this means that the guidance will be available at more than 500 locations across the country.
Each centre will employ between three and eight members of staff just to deal with Pension Wise guidance. The exact number will vary by centre, depending on the size of the area covered and how many of the local population would benefit from the guidance.
However, whether many people will actually want to make use of Pension Wise is open to doubt. Just last month a survey from Portal Financial found that more than three-quarters of us have “no intention” of using it at all.
