Donna Werbner reviews the pros and cons of the Halifax Plus Credit Card.
If you’re looking for a balance transfer card, on the surface, the Halifax Plus Credit Card looks pretty good. Transfer your existing debt from another credit card and you won’t have to pay any interest for thirteen months.
The Halifax Plus Credit Card also offers nought per cent on purchases for six months. But once this six-month period is up, Halifax will start charging you a whopping sixteen point nine four per cent on everything you purchased. And you can’t pay off the debts you’ve run up until you’ve cleared the entire balance on the card – including any debts you originally transferred over.
So whatever you do, don’t spend on this card. And if you use it for a balance transfer, watch out for the three percent transfer fee!
