Energy tariffs finishing soon: switch now!

Updated on 21 May 2015 | 0 Comments

Fourteen fixed energy deals are set to finish at the end of May.

A stonking 14 fixed energy tariffs are up at the end of May from suppliers including British Gas, Scottish Power, Npower, M&S Energy, First Utility and Sainsbury’s Energy.

If you're on one of those tariffs, it's a good idea to get switching or you could end up spending as much as £150 a year more on your energy deal.

That's because when your deal ends, you'll be placed on your provider’s standard tariff and they’re generally more expensive.

Based on dual fuel payment by monthly direct debit averaged across all UK regions and for households with an annual energy usage of 13,500kWh has and 3,200kWh electricity.

As you can see, not all of the deals will see a bill rise - for four of the tariffs, you'll actually move onto a cheaper deal.

However, you can still do much better than that.
