Act fast before you get put on your supplier’s standard tariff.
There are eight energy tariffs which expire at the end of the month, so if you are on one of them the time to act is now.
If you don’t switch, you’ll be put on to your provider’s standard tariff which is often a lot higher.
Here is a rundown of the tariffs which expire on 31st August.

*Based on dual fuel payment by monthly direct debit averaged across all UK regions and for households with an annual energy usage of 13,500kWh has and 3,200kWh electricity.
Even though half of the tariffs ending in August will see household energy prices increase significantly, some will actually see a reduction due to providers cutting their standard tariffs.
Households on the British Gas Fix & Control Aug 2015 and Fix & Reward August 2015 tariffs or the Sainsbury’s Energy Fix & Reward August 2015 will see their bill drop by an average of £58.06. That’s a decent saving, but you could stand to save far more by switching to a cheaper energy deal online.
