These deals will last until 10th November, when a new set will replace them. So you have time to shop around and make sure you are getting the best price. That said Argos thinks the deals are so good it's guaranteeing to pay the difference if shoppers can find a deal cheaper elsewhere.

[SPOTLIGHT]It might seem like a silly gimmick but shoppers seem to have liked what's been on offer so far with the Argos website down on Sunday for several hours.

If you’re thinking of taking advantage of the deals it’s worth pointing out that Argos is offering free Fast Track deliveries on online orders over £50, while shoppers that purchase online for Fast Track in-store pick-up can get £1 money back on orders over £25. The offer is only available for a limited time though, until 24th November.

Black Friday alternative

Argos has created what appears to be a British alternative to Black Friday, which falls on 27th November this year.

The US tradition which has become popular in the UK sees retailers apply mega discounts to a range of items for one day only.

The not-to-be-missed deals caused mayhem last year as people scrambled to get hold of the discount items and bag a bargain. Fights broke out in stores while online sites crashed from the increased traffic.

Chaos is predicted again this year as even more retailers have pledged to offer competitive deals on the day. Take a look at our guide to the best deals in Best Black Friday sales, deals, discounts, freebies.

But Argos has decided to relieve some of that pressure with Red, White and Blue Fridays which will allow shoppers to spread their Christmas shopping budget out and avoid panic buying.

David Robinson, Chief Operating Officer at Argos, said: “We are, of course, gearing up for Black Friday like everyone else, but we don’t think getting a great deal should wait until then.

“Christmas shopping is stressful enough without doing it all in one weekend – that’s why we want to make every Friday a ‘feel-good’ one with many fantastic deals every single week until Christmas. We will ensure every Brit has a chance to put more pounds in their pockets.”
