11 energy tariffs ending in December: cheapest gas and electricity tariffs to switch to

Is your tariff ending on New Year’s Eve? Maybe it’s time for you to switch provider.

A whopping 11 energy tariffs come to an end in the next couple of weeks.

Scottish Power, Npower, Extra Energy, Co-operative Energy and Sainsbury’s Energy all have tariffs which finish on New Year's Eve. If you are on one of them, you'll then be moved onto your provider’s standard tariff, which could see your energy bill rocket by hundreds of pounds

As you can see, Extra Energy customers on The Fresh Fixed Price December 2015 v2 tariff will bear the most substantial rise at £215.78 if they get put on Extra Energy’s Variable Price v1 standard tariff.

However, this won't be the case for all of the tariffs. Households on Npower’s Price Fix December 2015 and Fix December 2015 could actually see their bills fall slightly at the end of their fixed term.
