We're looking for a budding multimedia journalist to join our fast-growing team.
An opportunity has arisen for a budding multimedia journalist to join the Love Incorporated team. As part of the editorial team you will aim to assist in the delivery of high quality, consumer-friendly information to both lovemoney.com and lovefood.com and content distributed to our partner sites globally.
Initially this position will be a six-month contract, working towards a permanent position.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and grow social channels for lovemoney.com and lovefood.com, champion user engagement.
- Research and creating features, galleries and news items for production on the Love Inc. websites.
- Maintain evergreen features and articles to ensure accurate information.
- Upload content pieces to the websites and re-edit for different distribution partners.
- Assist editors with newsletter and email production/scheduling.
- Assist editors with subbing.
- Support and maintain SEO content as required.
- Assist the Editor-in-Chief as required.
Skills and attributes
- Must be passionate about working in a digital environment.
- Enthusiasm for web journalism.
- Experience of writing for the web and using social media.
- Experience of subbing content.
- Experience of photo editing software (such as Photoshop).
- Awareness of search engine optimisation.
- Experience of using a content management system beneficial (although training will be provided).
- Good interpersonal/communication skills.
- Excellent project/time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail (e.g. grammar, style, consistency).
- Commercial awareness.
- Basic HTML capabilities preferred.
