Now we're about halfway through the week -- and halfway through the month of June -- some Fools are probably suffering shortages of both energy and cash.
With payday still two weeks away for many of us (myself sadly included), an uplifting trip to the high street could represent a dangerous journey into temptation. Why is it that the best new DVDs and albums always seem to be released when fans are fighting to keep fivers firmly in their wallets?
Luckily, there are some great bargains available at the moment... Perhaps treating yourself towards the end of the month might be possible after all!

First up this week, there are some cool bargains available on music and films.

Argos also has a couple of great offers on toys this week -- some of which might appeal to big kids as well as youngsters. These Spider-Man Intercom Masks, for example, look like they could amuse people of any age...
Finally, anyone looking for more 'intellectually stimulating' entertainment should check out Blackwell's Oxford University Press summer sale. Over 800 titles are discounted, some by as much as 75%. (This offer is also worth a look if you have friends or relatives departing for University this autumn -- some academic texts are seriously reduced at the moment).
Also, fans of classic fiction will be pleased to know Blackwell's is still offering 20% off the re-designed Oxford World's Classics series.

Whether you're looking to beautify your bathroom or liven up your living room this week, there are plenty of offers available on homewares.
Christy is offering up to 81% off selected items, with towels, cushions and throws all available at discounted prices. These Fairtrade cotton towels all have 70% off, and come in a variety of sizes and neutral shades.

Fans of M&S furniture might also be interested in its current deals and discounts. When you buy three items of selected furniture, a discount of 30% is available. In addition, there are various offers on home furnishings and accessories, as well as kitchen, bathroom and bedroom items.
On a slightly different note, here's a tip for those looking to buy a `home' to keep them warm and dry during camping trips or visits to music festivals this summer. This six man Coleman Wyoming tent is reduced from £250 to £99 at WorldOfTents.co.uk... And it should keep you clean and dry, despite the inevitably inclement British weather.
