Fly out to New York with WOW Air for just £119. But before you book, check out what's actually included in the price.
Budget airline WOW Air is offering flights from the UK to New York for just £119 one way, but there are a few things you should know before you book.
Flights go out from London Gatwick and Bristol to New York’s Newark Liberty International Airport every day from November 25 2016, but the journey takes over 10 hours (compared to seven hours and 50 minutes on British Airways), goes via Iceland and there’s no in-flight entertainment for economy passengers.
You’ll be stopping over in Iceland for about an hour before you fly to the Big Apple.
The good news is that there are about a dozen seats with extra legroom on the Iceland-New York flight, although these will cost you an extra £14.
As part of the £119 deal you get hand luggage of up to 5kg (including handles and wheels) but you'll be charged £39 to check in a 20kg case.
WOW Air is will continue expanding its range of flights, following successful launches of flights to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Washington D.C., Toronto and Montreal from Gatwick and Bristol.

A quick comparison
Bargain-wise, WOW Air’s deal is pretty hard to beat, but is it worth the longer travel time and lack of in-flight entertainment?
To give you an idea of winter city break prices, we’ve compared flights from WOW Air and rival Aer Lingus travelling from London Gatwick to Newark on November 29 2016, returning on December 6 2016.
Flights from Aer Lingus are going for £397.14 return via Dublin (strangely, it'll cost you £474.70 for one way). It takes 11 hours 50 minutes on the way there including the stopover and nine hours 35 minutes on the way back.
The price includes a 10kg cabin bag, a 23kg checked-in bag and a complimentary meal so it’s a better option if you like a bit more comfort when you travel.
