There are loads of free lotteries to choose from, most of which you can enter online. We take a look at the likes of Pick My Postcode, Free Birthdate Lotto and more.
If you like the thrill of playing the lottery without having to pay for a ticket, there are a range of free lotteries available online.
Most of the prizes aren’t anywhere near as big as the National Lottery or EuroMillions, but you don’t lose anything as all of them cost nothing to enter.
We haven't included Premium Bonds as, although you do get to keep your initial stake, the fact is you do have to forego interest on your savings in order to enter the prize draw.
So here are the UK’s best free lotteries.

Lottery.co.uk ‒ prizes of up to £10,000
Lottery.co.uk is a bit of an all-rounder for lottery websites, providing visitors with a single place to check the results of all the big lotteries like the Lotto, EuroMillions and Postcode Lottery draws.
It has its own free lottery too, called ‒ you guessed it ‒ Free Lottery.
It has both daily and weekly draws. The daily draw has a top prize of £500, while the weekly draw, which is held every Monday, has a top prize of £10,000.
You simply have to pick six numbers between one and 75 to enter. You need to get in touch within two days of the draw if you’ve won to arrange the collection of your prize.
Free National Lotto ‒ prizes of up to £2,000
The Free National Lotto involves picking five numbers between one and 40. There are then daily draws, with a £20 prize pot, and a five-ball draw that runs twice a week, with a £2,000 prize pot on offer.
The lottery has a guaranteed winner for every daily draw, but you need to visit the site and claim your prize. Otherwise, it gets rolled over to the next draw.
All prizes are then paid out through PayPal.
Pick My Postcode – prizes of up to £200
With this free lottery, you need to visit the website and enter your postcode and email address. Your postcode will then be entered into the draw every day.
The site gives away up to £200 via its main draw every day, but if it isn’t claimed within 24 hours, it rolls over to the next winning postcode.
You just need to remember to log in every day to see if you have won.
But as this is a postcode lottery, you’ll share the jackpot with any of your neighbours who are also registered on the site and remember to check the draw.
The more neighbours who sign up, the more chance there is of your postcode getting drawn, but you will have to share the prize.
There are other prize draws on offer too. There’s a daily survey draw ‒ some days you’ll need to fill out a survey to see the winning postcode, others it just appears, with a £50 prize.
There’s also a daily ‘stackpot’ draw worth £10 a pop, and a video draw, which you can enter by watching a video on the site.
Free Birthdate Lottery ‒ prizes of up to £50
As the name suggests, the Free Birthdate Lottery operates by picking a random birthday every day.
It has given away more than £10,000 since its launch, with a top prize of £50, though usually, the prize for its daily draw is £10.
Sign up to the site and you are entered into every daily draw. It’s then up to you to check the site every day to see if you have won. The prizes are paid through advertising on the site, with prizes paid out through PayPal or a bank transfer.
Alternatively, you can donate your winnings to charity.
Lucky Emoji – £10 daily prize
With this one, you select three emojis and enter them.
If your emojis match the ones drawn daily, you could win £10 but you’ll need to check every day to see if you’ve won.
The prize is small, but again it costs nothing to enter so who are we to complain?
You can register at Lucky Emoji.
