Tom Brennan fought a valiant fight in an attempt to force the banks to justify their charges. Now it's all over.
Just a quick update on Tom Brennan's bank charges claim against NatWest.
Yesterday I called the court for the judge's decision on the application hearing. Having read my last article on the subject, you won't be surprised that he lost the hearing. It won't be going to appeal either.*
This is sad news, as Brennan fought well. However, there's some good news and some neutral news too.
The good news is that Brennan doesn't have to pay NatWest's costs, which would probably have been in the tens of thousands.
The neutral news is just what I've written earlier: the result of this hearing will have no effect on anyone else's claims. I have explained why this is so in Bank Charges Hearing: The Consequences
So it's bad news for Tom Brennan, but don't let it affect how you handle your claims.
