How will government know which 'energy' company to add the £400 grant to ?

My house is heated by oil but I do not have an account with a particular company. In fact I buy heating oil and collect it as and when I need it.

Also, I have a long running dispute with my Electric supplier over incorrect billing which caused a debt I have challenged from a previous company. This debt was transferred to the new company who took the account over and they have failed to address the problem after numerous attempts by myself to resolve the issue backed up by a lot of evidence. The financial ombudsman is not really interested in getting involved.

Therefore I am concerned that the £400 grant may be given direct to this Electric supplier and they will just deduct this amount from the debt I am disputing, rather than mu on going current usage which is what I need the help with.

Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with this complicated scenario please ?
