Jaw-dropping facts about global inequality
Inequality has long been at the forefront of global debates. According to recent research by the World Economic Forum, there’s no general trend toward higher inequality across the world: it’s risen in some countries and fallen in others over the past 25 years. However, when looking at population size, the weighted average of the Gini index, a scale used to measure inequality, increased by four percentage points, indicating increased inequality overall.
