While starring in HIMYM, Radnor got behind the camera and made his directing debut with comedy-drama film Happythankyoumoreplease, which won the 2010 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize. Two years later, he starred in Liberal Arts, another comedy-drama that he also wrote and directed.

Radnor then went on to act in several stage shows, including Disgraced in 2014, which was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Play, and Little Shop of Horrors in 2018. More recently, he has returned to the small screen to star in Amazon Prime Video conspiracy drama Hunters.
