Bank of Scotland Plus Credit Card
Donna Werbner reviews the pros and cons of the Bank of Scotland Plus credit card
If you’re looking for a balance transfer card, on the surface, the Bank of Scotland Plus Credit Card looks pretty good. Transfer your existing debt from another credit card and you won’t have to pay any interest for thirteen months.
But there are much longer balance transfer cards out there. That means lots of extra months, interest-free!
This card also offers nought per cent on purchases for six months. But once this six-month period is up, the Bank of Scotland Plus Credit Card will start charging you a whopping sixteen point nine four per cent on everything you purchased. And you can’t pay off the debts you’ve run up until you’ve cleared the entire balance on the card – including any debts you originally transferred over.
So whatever you do, don’t spend on the Bank of Scotland Plus Credit Card. And if you use it for a balance transfer, watch out for the three percent transfer fee!
