Here's our weekly round-up of the best restaurant deals and grocery discounts on offer, plus this week's top supermarket voucher codes!

This week we've got a shopping voucher for Waitrose, big wine discounts at Oddbins and Sainsbury's, the return of the £10 menu at Pizza Express and lots more. Enjoy!

Best supermarket deals

This week I'm going to start with the best deals at ASDA. You can currently buy eight 420g tins of Branson baked beans for £2.50, which works out at just over 30p a tin.

Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire teabags (160 bags) have been reduced from £3.82 to just £2. And six-pack cans of 7 Up, 7 Up Free, Pepsi, Pepsi Diet and Pepsi Max have all been reduced from £2.48 to just £1.50.

At Tesco there are currently good 2 for 1 deals on Soreen large malt loaves (usually £1.19 each) and New York Bagel Co. bagels (usually £1.29 for a pack of five).

Elsewhere in the store, there are still good 2 for 1 offers on Clover, Kraft Philadelphia and eight-packs of Activia yoghurt. And a wide range of Walkers Crisp six-packs have also been reduced by half - from £1.25 to 62p.

Over at Sainsbury's, the best offers include six-packs of large free range eggs from The Happy Egg Company: They're currently reduced from £1.77 to £1.

You can also pick up a Sainsbury's Garlic Basted whole chicken (1.35kg) for just £1.92, reduced from £3.85. And finally, there's a good deal on this Sainsbury's Red Label tea (160 bags) - reduced from £2.69 to £1.34.

At Morrisons, there are currently big reductions on fresh fruit and veg: You can pick up 1kg of baby new potatoes, 1kg of carrots, a bag of four oranges, a four-pack of kiwis or 1kg of onions - all for just 30p each.

You can also grab four 420g tins of Branston baked beans for just 79p, and seven-packs of hula-hoops for 60p.

The Co-op has reduced 1.5kg gammon joints from £10 to £5, and 350g Lloyd Grossman pasta sauces from £2.05 to £1.

And finally, Lidl currently has great better-than-half-price deals on six-packs of Muller Light, Muller Fruit Corners and Muller Crunch Corners - all reduced from £2.88 to just £1.20.

Tipple

You can now get 20% off all single bottles of champagne and sparkling wine at Oddbins (excluding already-discounted items).

The offer is available both in-store and online, and the discount should be given automatically at the check-out. The deal runs until 4th October.

Shop online with Sainsbury's and you can get a 25% discount when you buy any six or more bottles of Australian or New Zealand wine.

This deal includes wine that is already on offer, and is valid on deliveries made by 13th October. The discount will be applied automatically but will only show on your receipt.

Please drink responsibly!

In this section, I tend to focus on chain deals that are available all over the country. For great restaurant deals in your local area, I recommend you also check out the discounts available at TopTable and 5pm.

Voucher codes

This actually a cut-out newspaper voucher, rather than an online code: Pick up a copy of The Sun newspaper on Saturday 3rd October and search for the voucher entitling you to £5 off a £30 spend at Waitrose.

The voucher will be valid (in-store) from 3rd-10th October. You're only allowed one voucher per person, and the £30 has to be spent in a single transaction. Certain items (like stamps, tobacco and gift vouchers) are excluded from the promotion, so make sure you read the voucher small print before you start shopping.

Voucher code promotions tend to be withdrawn quickly. If you've missed out on this one, you can use the following websites to track down new voucher codes as and when they come up:

And finally... frugal recipes!

Make sure you check out the latest lovemoney.com series on all things foodie: Frugal recipes.
