Currently a second-class medium parcel weighing up to 1kg costs £5.20 and one weighing between 1-2kgs costs £8 to send.
Prices for second-class small parcels up to 2kg will remain at the single price of £2.80 following the popularity of the Royal Mail’s Christmas promotion.

As price hi kings go 1p is not much and the regulator has said that 2nd class can be 55p. The parcel price drops should be the headline we never get any if the prices from competitors, mostly foreign owned and loss making with no service levels published.

You are incorrect in saying the cost of a first class stamp is going up from 63p to 64p. In fact the current cost is 62p and the new price will be 63p
